Recognise a true emergency
Some symptoms need immediate professional help. If you notice any of these, contact an emergency veterinary service straight away rather than waiting.
- Trouble breathing, choking, or blue gums
- Collapse, seizures, or inability to stand
- A bloated, hard abdomen or repeated unproductive vomiting
